Jesus is Presented at the Temple
Forty days after Jesus was born, Joseph and Mary brought Jesus to be presented at the temple as was the guideline for the firstborn male of every family (if they lived within a reasonable distance from the temple). While at the temple, they encountered a man named Simeon who had been given, by the Spirit of God, the promise that he would not die until he had seen Christ.
When Simeon saw Jesus, the Spirit of God told him that he was the Christ. Simeon took the child in his arms and said, “Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: for mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.”

About the Life of Jesus
More About this Video:
While at the temple, Joseph and Mary also met Anna, a prophetess, who was inspired by God when she saw Jesus. She recognized that He would be her redeemer and testified of Him to everyone around her. It is important to note that God inspired both a man and a woman to recognize Jesus’ divinity at His presentation in the temple. Watch the life of Jesus life by video.
