The Christmas Nativity

Christmas is a wonderful time of year. Our hearts grow softer, many people become a little kinder and more giving. There are many well-known Christmas stories and movies that have become a tradition around the world - A Christmas Carol, It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street and many more. However, do we sometimes get so carried away in the festivities that, to use a well-known cliche, we forget the reason for the season?

Let us remember that Christmas is about Christ and His humble birth in a lowly stable. It is about the “good tidings of of great joy” - the announcement that a Savior, a literal Son of God, was born into the world. It is about the knowledge that all of us can be saved, and live with God again after this life, if we believe in Jesus and try our best to follow Him. He is the reason that we feel a little kinder, a little more giving and have a little more love in our hearts during the Christmas season.

More About this Video:

Although remembering and watching The Nativity is generally associated with Christmas time, it is something that we should remember and watch during any time of the year. A Son of God came to earth; as Isaiah said, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Learn more by watching more videos about Jesus' life.
