Jesus Forgives a Man's Sins and Heals Him
Scripture: Mark 2:1-12
This video of Jesus portrays one of his many miracles. There is a man with palsy who wanted to be healed and had faith that the Lord would heal Him. The manner in which the man got to Jesus was especially inventive. Jesus was in a house with many people, so it would have been hard for the man to reach him. So, a group of people took the man to the roof of the house. They took apart the roof and lowered the man on his sickbed into the house.
When Jesus saw the man, he said, “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee” (Mark 2:5). This demonstrated that Jesus had powers of perception. Right after seeing the man, Jesus knew he had sins that needed to be forgiven. After forgiving the man of his sins, the scribes that were present accused Jesus, in their hearts, of blasphemy (disrespect for God). In other words, they understood that only God could forgive sins and didn’t realize that Jesus was the Son of God and could also forgive sins.

About the Life of Jesus
More About this Video:
To the disbelievers in the house, Jesus said, “Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?” Then, he continued, “But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.” In other words, Jesus showed the unbelieving scribes that he had power to heal and by doing so, He also implied that he had power to forgive sins.
