Do You Believe There Should be Prophets Today?

God communicated with prophets during Bible times to help guie His people through challenges. Don't we need prophets to guide us just as much today? ...especially in a world of so many shifting values?

Christ Established a Church of Prophets and Apostles

Ephesians 4:11-12 reads:

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

1 Corinthians 12:28 states:

28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles...

Ephesians 2:20:

20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Ephesians 3:5:

5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

Are There Prophets Today?

There are prophets and apostles again today – called by God. The same church with apostles and prophets that Jesus organized in Jerusalem (Ephesians 2:19-20) has been again restored to earth through divine means.
